Visiting New Jersey Shores

Tuesday, July 23, 2024

Long beach is a great option if you’re looking to get away from the loud and busy nightlife of some of the Jersey Shore’s other beaches. The beach itself is clean and low-key, a perfect place to relax with the little ones.

We went here around mid August. Beautiful well maintained boardwalk. No rowdy visitors, plenty of cops on bikes so felt very safe.  Plenty facilities for beach goers including cabanas and showers. The beach are has the perfect blend of food and shopping and entertainment. We’ll be back that's for sure.

Great location for family with kids.

There is something for everyone and you can dine in or take out for a beach picnic.  Ice cream shops, and fine-dine. you can find everything which you desire when you are visiting any beach/shore.

However parking is whole lot of story. Just pray someone leaves the spot and then you park out there, I spent 20 mins going from one place to another. The fee is  around  $50 for the whole day. It’s more expensive than New York.

The Long Branch boardwalk offers pleasant opportunities for strolling, jogging, walking your dog, or making stops to eat at a nice variety of restaurants or to shop at a variety of shops.  Get up early and watch the sun rise over the ocean. Benches make for comfortable viewing.

  1. I agree. My in-laws used to rent a house on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach on the Jersey Shore, it was like a throwback to years past with all family's and relaxing Summers!

  3. I haven’t been to the beach in several years. I miss going to the outer banks in Nc. This looks like a very nice beach. Did they have life guards? Some of the bigger beaches in NC had life guards so I felt even safer in the water.

  9. It is nice to know that there are shops and different food establishments available in the area. I am a bit surprised with the parking fees but I guess the law of demand and supply pretty much explains it. Will consider Long Beach during our next beach trip.
