We spend five days in San Jose area last September of 2016 . I thought its nice to take a trip down to Silicon Valley and visit/see the technology giants like Facebook, Google, Apple etc. Most of these big tech companies are not open to the public nor do they give tours. Without knowing someone who works there you'll only be able to see the building from the outside.
Silicon Valley is most important place in West Cost USA. The "valley" in its name refers to the Santa Clara Valley in Santa Clara County, which includes the city of San Jose and surrounding cities and towns, where the region has been traditionally centered.

In general, security is high at the high technology corporations. Intel as mentioned does have a museum.

Those are some cool places to visit. I actually have friends that work (or have worked) at Google and Yahoo. They are interesting places to work, and I've heard a lot about them, like the food they serve and other benefits. Pretty neat how that is such a technology hotspot over there!
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely adore visiting the Google headquarters. I've heard how innovative and modern their offices are!
ReplyDeleteIt was still fun to get your photo taken by all of the signs, so iconic. Its a shame they don't do tours as Im sure it would be fascinating. Im heading to Silicon Valley later this year and can't wait to see this part of the US.
ReplyDeleteThese are some awesome places to see! I would love to get a chance to see them myself one day. It looks like you had a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my husband that I wanted to do this one day. He laughed and now I showed him this! SEEE I am not the only one!! I think all of these companies are pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have read about how cool Google offices are. The employees get so many perks, awesome food, entertainment rooms and sleeping pods. No wonder every young adult dreams of landing a job at Google! Those places you featured here should be in my "must visit" list this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting tour. I would enjoy seeing these places too. How fun they have the little statues out there.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fun trip to take my daughter on. She loves anything technology related. I know she wants to visit the google headquarters and I would love to see it as well. It sounds like I need to plan a trip like this for my family. What a fun idea!
