When I was a kid, I always dream of White Christmas. I just love receiving music card with a picture of a house covered with Snow. During those days I feel jealous when I see children in Christmas movies or cartoons. They making snowballs or snow man and play skiing/sledding. I always wish I can experience it too. But living in a tropical country like Phillipines is not Mr. Snow Man favorite place to hang out with (he he) . Many years had passed I never have think of one day I will experience it finally and see it on my two eyes. The first time I see snow flakes falling from the sky it has this sense of happiness in my heart I've waited many years for this moment to come. All I can remember is , I'm standing in our living room window for hours and say nothing at all. Then finally my husband hand me a cup of hot cocoa and wrap me with blanket. Then he said, "hon maybe you want to cuddle with me in our fireplace, the winter season takes 4-6 months so you have plenty of time to enjoy it.
The next day, I voluntarily shovel our drive way as the snow won't stop since last night. So I did , but before my husband left to work , he said, "Hon, don't stay outside too long your body is not used to it, and oh by the way honey Don't taste the yellow snow" ( then he laugh) . I didn't get it at first now I know ha ha! never ever taste the yellow one HAHAHA!
Here are the photos that I took during winter time in Buffalo New York, this is our last winter in Buffalo. Do I miss it? Yeah probably for 2 days but for 4- 6 months not at all. Its too cold and too much shoveling. Happy Holidays everyone!

ReplyDeleteWe have been known in Texas for big snows. When I was growing up, the one thing I remember most, my mother made us snow ice cream. The best ever. However, with so much stuff in the air, I would be afraid to do that now.

I grew up with snow and it is so very pretty at times, but I certainly don't miss it. I can be happy seeing other people's photos of snow!
ReplyDeleteGusto ko ma experience ang snow pero di ko kaya tumira sa malamig na lugar. Aircon nga lang sumusuko na ako e. hehe!Madali kasi ako ginawain.
ReplyDeleteI wanna experiece snow din, kaso I feel like hindi ko kaya ang lamig, sa payat ko kasing to, tagos hanggang buto agad ang lamig, hehe! Curious, what's with the yellow snow, di ko naka-relate, hihi
ReplyDelete@Joanne thanks girl, kapag yellow daw ang ice na nasa ground may ihi daw ng aso he he..
ReplyDeleteHi There, I am a southern gal who LOVES snow---and has never lived anywhere where they get alot of it. My hubby says that IF I had to live up north for awhile, I'd get tired of it!!!! Like you said--all of the shoveling, etc...
ReplyDeleteBUT--since I've never lived up north, I still LOVE snow... I get excited even when we get an inch or two here... I become a child playing in the snow!!!! ha
Great photos.
Hugs,
Betsy
