Visiting the Valley of Fire State Park Nevada

Monday, September 17, 2012
The Valley of Fire has been used in a gazillion movies it is a commercial hit.  For those who like to challenge their driving skills, this is a perfect place since you have everything except S-Turns. The landscape is just straight up red.  Looks like the rocks are on fire from a distance. Photos do NOT do this place any justice, but I tried anyways. The roads are a little rough in some areas but in all it's drivable.  It's $10 for a day pass just to drive through so totally worth it.

If you like to hike, there's plenty to do, as well as awesome rock climbing for all skill levels.  Even if you aren't much of an outdoorsy person, the views just from the road are enough to make it worth it. Super neat rock formations very thankful to have seen such beauty to wrap up our vacation.

Stunning surreal landscape

It gets hot in here especially the valley areas so carry lots of water and food.  Routes are simple. One entrance per east or west section with an intersection to go north that makes a U-Turn. Driving-wise, it is difficult to get lost and you can tour the entire park in a couple hours. We would love to camp there some day, the park has utility hook ups for campers.

The best selfie is more than just a face, nature gives the best result.

Stunning masterpiece of color  and fascinating rock formations.
Standing in this pristine spot in the middle of nowhere - calm and lovely view.
A day journey in the desert.

Hope you enjoy this Nevada State National Park as much as we did.  Feel free to share it and don't forget to follow us for more adventures, happy trips!
